We were 14 days ago (on the 1st day of the opening of the restaurant after the closure due to Corona) on the occasion of my niece's youth consecration in the Dünenfein restaurant with 11 people for dinner. My brother had actually made a reservation in Weineck below, but was called again to ask that the seats would be moved upstairs. The staff at Dünenfein was completely overwhelmed and overloaded, menus were brought to us, but no drinks cards. We then had to wait over 2 hours for the food, which was an imposition, especially for the children. The food was good but completely overpriced. On the website of the Weineck restaurant we read that there are some of the same dishes for half to a third of the price of the Dünenfein restaurant. CONCLUSION: The price-performance ratio is not right at all, does not fit in any way with a 5 star hotel!
The soup kitchen was great (excellent starter soup - we had pumpkin and fish soup), service was five stars, but the main course (pumpkin sheep cheese quiche) was super-dry and our regional plaice was unfortunately very boring. At least the potatoes were nicely carved. 👍
Great location, very friendly service, great sea view, the food was okay but nothing more. Visually very nicely arranged but just normal in taste. Kind of a shame! The price / performance ratio is partly questionable.
We had received the 5-course candle light dinner for Christmas. Since I ordered a vegan menu, I was very skeptical at first. The subdivision of the restaurant is good, so that a transition from the hotel guests to the à la carte part of the restaurant arises. The very nice gentleman, who took care of us, knew immediately what we got and then told each course for me. 1st course = smoked tofu with mangetout, shallots and dried peppers, the tofu was of very good quality, with an intense smoke flavor, the combination with the vegetables has this softly circled, but I would have liked a sweet accent 2nd course = clear tomato soup, very exciting gourmet experience, unfortunately a bit too salty 3rd course = parsnip with herb noodles, I love parsnip! and the station wagon was also very consistent 4th course = roasted vegetables on sweet potato-wedge very delicious, perfectly prepared and balanced in taste 5th course = marzipan praline with strawberry soy yogurt and passion fruit ice cream, my dessert was just better than the normal menu, so my partner became very jealous. The menu was so very consistent, balanced and summery. The wine list is extensive, the view enormous and the service to the point. My expectations were extremely outbid, because I would not have expected at a fish restaurant with a creative creative, taste so harmonious and loving vegan menu. Nevertheless, I would like to see the flowers on the plates taste more intense and that there is a sauce strip for smoked tofu. Thanks to the kitchen and I hope you all had fun! Thanks to the service for making this wonderful evening.
As always, it was a very nice evening with a great meal and a magnificent sunset on the Baltic Sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Many thanks.
It was supposed to be a nice Christmas dinner 2018, but it was a big letdown. - A confusion when we greeted us, whether we order the menu or not, we haven't even sat Then we were served still water and left at the table, although I thought other guests were also served water from this bottle, I also paid for a medium (unfortunately it had still water) -Then there was a cream with bread, which had no taste -the first starter was a lobster crab tart for 14 € - please !!!! The cream as well as the small fruit and the green garnish were dried up ... that doesn't work at all. - My father's carp was still raw and red inside -Then the toilet smelled worse than on a freeway ... the one at this hotel -Also, at the end you go down a flight of stairs from the Genusshafen restaurant to the foyer and have to dirty your hands on a heavily worn and stuck railing We remember the food, but unfortunately in a negative way !!!
Very good food. Anyone looking for something special will find it here in a top quality.
My sweetheart booked a 5 course menu there and surprised me with it. We spent a wonderful evening with top service and fine food. 5 Stars

I've never eaten so miserable in a five star hotel. Pasta overcooked, dry chicken, unseasoned mushrooms. Price / performance ratio really unsustainable
We went to the Broiler Bar and would love to come back again
